Engineering Resilience for
Planetary Health

Outcome of The Session : “Climate Engineering & Environmental Resilience”

Objective of Session – “Climate Engineering & Environmental Resilience”

The session “Engineering Resilience for Planetary Health” aims to explore how engineering innovations can safeguard ecosystems, mitigate climate risks and build sustainable communities. It emphasizes the integration of smart urban systems, climate-responsive technologies, marine conservation and biodiversity protection into engineering practice. By aligning with SDGs 11, 13, 14 and 15, the session highlights the role of engineers as stewards of planetary health, designing resilient solutions that balance human development with environmental sustainability.

Focus Areas but not limited to

Sustainable Cities & Communities: Smart urban planning, resilient housing, green mobility and waste management systems.

Climate Action Engineering: Carbon reduction technologies, renewable energy integration and disaster-resilient infrastructure.

Marine Conservation Technologies: Ocean monitoring systems, sustainable fisheries and pollution reduction innovations.

Biodiversity & Ecosystem Protection: Eco-engineering for forestry, habitat restoration and wildlife conservation.

Student & Community Engagement: Grassroots projects on afforestation, coastal protection and sustainable lifestyles.

Digital & Smart Solutions: AI, IoT and data-driven tools for climate monitoring and environmental resilience.
